PRO6HET, the online profile

Discover your athletic profile.

Fifteen questions, about four minutes, and a written picture of where you are today: your strongest area, what is holding you back, and the one thing that would move you furthest next. It describes your current state. It does not predict your future.

Free. Answered by the athlete. Under-18s need a parent or guardian to create the account and consent. Your progress saves after every question.

What you get.

A profile, not a prediction. Four things, written for you to act on, and kept in your account so a later profile can be set beside it.

  • Five pillar scores

Technical, Athletic, Psychological, Educational and Social, each 0 to 100, drawn as one radar so the shape of your profile is visible at a glance.

  • Your profile type

One of seven types, set by your two strongest pillars. Each comes with three strengths, three development priorities and the failure mode to watch for.

  • Strongest and weakest pillar

Named plainly, with what that pattern usually means for training at your age and in your sport.

  • One highest-leverage action

A single next step, specific enough to start this week, chosen from your weakest pillar rather than a list of everything you could do.

Five pillars. Six questions each.

The same five pillars the two-day diagnostic measures in person. The Technical questions change with your sport; the other four are the same for everyone.

  • T

    Technical

Sport-specific execution: under pressure, when the decision is fast, on your weaker side, and how quickly new technique embeds.

  • A

    Athletic

How you handle training load, recovery, sleep and niggles, and how well you read your own body.

  • P

    Psychological

Composure after a mistake, focus when it is loud, competitiveness, and what you do the night before.

  • E

    Educational

How you take coaching, use feedback and video, understand the tactical picture, and study the game on your own.

  • S

    Social

How you communicate with coaches and team-mates, handle conflict, and the quality of the environment around you.

How it works.

About ten minutes. There are no right answers to find; the questions force trade-offs, so answering honestly is the only way to get a profile that is useful.

  1. Tell us your sport and age

Your sport decides which Technical questions you get. Your age band decides how they are worded and what your scores are compared against.

  2. Create your free account

Email and password, or Google. Under-18s add a parent or guardian, who confirms consent by email before the first scored question.

  3. Answer thirty questions

Six per pillar. Scenarios, frequency scales and agree-disagree statements. Each answer saves as you go, so you can stop and pick up where you left off.

  4. Read your profile

Your radar, your type, and one action. It stays in your account, so when you retake it in three to six months you can see what moved.

Seven sports, with their own Technical questions.

A Technical score means the same thing in every sport: the questions change, the scale does not.

  • Football
  • Tennis
  • Racingtrack, motor racing, cycling, swimming, high and long jump
  • Netball
  • Squash
  • Basketball
  • Cricket

Another sport?

Choose “Other” and name it. You get a full profile on the four shared pillars, with Technical shown as not assessed for your sport rather than guessed. We keep a count of the sports people name, and we will tell you when yours is added.

The seven types

Your type is set by your two strongest pillars.

Seven types, the same across every sport. A type is a description of the shape of your profile today, and it changes when the profile does.

  • Executor

    Technical with Athletic

Does the skill well and repeatably, and has the physical base to keep doing it.

  • Engine

    Athletic with Technical or Psychological

Capacity first: trains hard, recovers well, and can carry a performance late.

  • Competitor

    Psychological with Technical

Composed when it matters and drawn to the contest; the skill follows the will.

  • Tactician

    Educational with Technical

Reads the game, takes coaching well, and turns understanding into execution.

  • Adapter

    Educational with Psychological

Learns fast and stays steady while doing it; new technique embeds quickly.

  • Connector

    Social leading

Raises the people around them; communicates, accepts a role, handles conflict.

  • Integrator

    No single pillar leads

An even profile with no outlier, which is a strength and a question at the same time.

The profile is the first step. The diagnostic is the measurement.

The online profile is what you say about yourself. The two-day diagnostic at Lee Valley measures the same five pillars in person, under recorded conditions, and writes the plan. Start with the profile; bring it with you.
